Top honors for Doniphan West Middle School, with the Denton-based students winning the Red Ribbon Star Video Contest.
School Red Ribbon Sponsor Rachel Gibson says the video was filmed during last October's Red Ribbon Week, which is set aside to focus on the problems of drug and alcohol abuse(Play Audio :16 seconds)
The video highlighted the numerous events, and activities, undertaken by the students to raise awareness during the week.
It was posted online, along with videos from other schools across the nation, to the Red Ribbon website, with public votes taken to determine the winner.
Now, with the votes counted, Doniphan West Middle School comes out on top, meaning a top prize of 100-dollars and a Nikon digital camera.
