Auburn officials learned recently that the rebuilding of Highway 136 through Auburn will not begin until the summer of 2014 instead of the 2013 construction season as hoped for.
In an agenda item related to the planned highway improvements, the Auburn Council is going to work with Peru State College on some signage. Mayor Scott Kudrna. ( play audio :15 seconds )

In other action during this weeks Auburn Council meeting, approval was given to the City getting a credit card for purchases. ( play audio :23 seconds )
An ordinance concerning qualifying standards to be a keno outlet as required by state law was also approved by the Auburn Council this week.
