Atchison City Employees Shedding Weight

 You may see some Atchison city employees with a slimmer look if you enter into city hall these days.

 That’s because they have lost hundreds of pounds as part of a health insurance incentive.

 City Manager Trey Cocking says this came as part of the health plan overhaul first instituted a year and a half ago.

 Cocking says this doesn’t only benefit the city employees.

 As a result of a high deductable health plan and health savings accounts, employees that either maintained or lost weight receive a 125 dollar stipend into that account.
