A 34 year old Effingham man has a felony aggravated battery charge amended to a misdemeanor Friday in Atchison County Court.
Jason Pantle pled to domestic battery and interference with a law enforcement officer.
He was arrested March 3rd by the Atchison County Sheriff’s office for striking a 36 year old woman multiple times in a vehicle on U.S. Highway 73 near the Shannon Industrial Park after leaving an Atchison bar.
Factual basis reports say the other charge comes from Pantle not being forthcoming, impeding the deputy’s investigation later that morning.
Sentencing is scheduled for May 11th.
He remains out on 20 thousand dollars bond and had his no contact with the victim order changed to no violent contact at the request of the victim.
