On April 1st, after serving 41 years as Superintendent of Recreation and manager of Memorial Hall, Herb Wyrick will retire from the Atchison Recreation Commission.
Mr. Wyrick began working for the Commission in February of 1971.
Succeeding Mr. Wyrick as Superintendent of Recreation will be Scott Erickson.
Mr. Erickson has been the program director for the Recreation Commission since 1987.
Nic Rebant, who has worked for the Recreation Commission in various capacities for the past ten years, will be the new program director.
A public reception to honor Mr.Wyrick’s retirement and introduce Mr. Erickson and Mr. Rebant in their new positions as superintendent and program director will be held Monday, April 9, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 819 Commercial Street.
