Long running water plant improvements in the City of Horton have now wrapped up.
The word of the completion came during Monday evening's meeting of the Horton City Commission, delivered by Brian Foster, of BG Consultants.
Accompanying the announcement of the finalized project was the final bill owed by the city for the work(Play Audio :19 seconds)
The final payment was unanimously approved by the Commission.
Related discussion during the Monday night session was an overview of forthcoming geometric improvements in the city, and how they will be conducted in conjuntion with future state KLINK projects.
Additionally, discussion included ongoing work to beautify Mission Lake in time for the fast approaching heavy use season.
A new caretaker has been hired and is expected to be on the job March 26th.
As earlier decided by the Commission, Robert Hicks will not live in the lakeside caretakers house; instead, he will live like other campers, in an RV at the lake, allowing a better hands-on approach to the job.
