A 34 year old Effingham man is out on bond for allegedly causing injuries to a woman severe enough to require hospitalization.
According to Atchison County Undersheriff Larry Myer, Jason Pantle allegedly struck a 36 year old woman during an argument in a vehicle on U.S. 73 highway near the Shannon Industrial Park around 2:35 Saturday morning.
Myer says after the alleged victim went home, she was later transported by private vehicle to the Atchison hospital with facial and bodily injury.
Pantle was then arrested by deputies around 4:45 that morning on the charge of felony aggravated domestic battery.
The alleged victim was later treated and released.
Pantle was able to post a 20 thousand bond by noon Saturday and now awaits formal charges.
