Jefferson County North Schools may no longer be part of the Delaware Valley League in sports.
The USD 337 board Monday night gave the authority to Activities Director Gary Bedigrew to withdraw from the league with direction from the board if the league stays at its current size.
According to Superintendent Denise Jennings, the school was previously opposed to its previous growth and says current DVL meetings tend to become very large in nature, which the school feels takes away from dialogue necessary to be part of the league.
No action on that matter has been taken outside of the granting of the authority.
In other business, the board accepted retirement requests from fifth grade teacher Sue Means and Title one instructor Lori Moore effective the end of the school year.
Both have been with the district for over 30 years.
