(KLZA)-- Two people sought medical treatment following a collision at the intersection of 18th and Lane Streets in Falls City shortly after 5 o’clock Friday afternoon.
The Falls City Police Department report indicates an eastbound car on 18th Street, driven by 76-year-old George Rhodd of Falls City, was struck by a car headed south on Lane Street operated by 25-year-old Jennifer Delong of Falls City.
According to the report, Long stated she was speaking on a cell phone at the time of the wreck and that her vision was obstructed by the glare of the sun.
Delong was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way.
Rhodd and a 12-year-old passenger in his car, Taryn Coronado, suffered possible but not visible injuries and sought medical treatment at Community Medical Center in Falls City.
