(KNZA)--Wenger Manufacturing in Sabetha will serve as one of three statewide sites Friday providing kick-off parties for manufacturing day in Kansas.
The kick-off at Wenger, located at 714 Main Street, will begin with a light breakfast at 8:00 in the morning.
That will be followed by welcomes from the sponsors—the Kansas Chamber of Commerce, Sabetha Chamber of Commerce and Wenger Manufacturing.
Following the presentations, Wenger will be opening its doors for tours of the facility beginning at 9:00.
To register for the event or for more information, you can go to the Kansas Chamber of Commerce web site at kansaschamber.org/mfg-day-wenger-manufacturing
Governor Sam Brownback signed a proclamation last month, declaring October 7th as Manufacturing day in Kansas.
Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers.
The day addresses common misconceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t.
