Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Doniphan Co RWD #1
09/26/2016

(KNZA)--The boil water advisory for Doniphan County Rural Water District #1 has been lifted.

The advisory was issued September 16th because of a loss of pressure due to a water main break.   Inadequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Monday that laboratory testing samples collected from the water district indicate no evidence of contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by agency officials to be resolved.

As a result, water customers no longer need to boil the water they use for drinking or cooking prior to use.
