(KAIR)--No injuries are reported following a fire that destroyed a Horton home.
It happened at 232 East 6th Street Thursday afternoon.
Kansas Fire Marshal Investigator Lamar Shoemaker tells MSC News one of the home's occupant's managed to escape, and notified a neighbor.
Horton-area fire crews were called, and rushed to the scene to battle the blaze.
Shoemaker says the cause of the fire remains under investigation, with interviews to be conducted.
The home was a rental property, with local authorities saying it was being occupied by a couple.
Names are not immediately available.
The fire was reported around 1:45.
