(KNZA)--A boil water advisory has been issued for Brown County Rural Water District #2.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment issued the advisory Tuesday evening for customers served in the region east of Highway 73. Customers located west of Highway 73 are not affected at this time.
KDHE officials issued the advisory due to the loss of water pressure. Failure to maintain adequate pressure may result in a loss of chlorine residuals and bacterial contamination.
Customers should boil the water they use for drinking or food preparation for one minute prior to use or use bottled water.
The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
