Minor Damage to Falls City Police Vehicle

(KLZA)-- A Falls City Police Officer escapes injury, but the vehicle he was driving incurs more than $1,000 in damage.

According to the Falls City Police Department it happened Monday morning when Officer James Wason was backing up from a gas pump.

As he did so, the Falls City Police Department Ford Explorer struck a post that buffers the gas pumps at Sapp Brothers Petroleum, located at 15th and Harlan Street.

Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,400.

The post was not damaged.
