(MSC News)--A sixth person has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a St. Joseph teenager in May in what prosecutors say was a drug deal gone bad.
KQ2-TV reports 17-year-old Jay’Den Maynard, of St. Joseph was charged Tuesday in Buchanan County with felony first-degree attempted robbery.
The charge carries a sentence ranging from 5 to 15 years.
Five others are also charged in connection with the May 17th shooting death of 18-year-old Skylar Powell.
Maynard is being held in the Buchanan County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
He’s scheduled to appear in court Friday for arraignment.
