(KNZA)--A Sabetha teacher killed in a single-vehicle Brown County wreck this past weekend will be laid to rest Friday.
27-year-old Cole Bergen, of Orleans, Nebraska, was killed early Saturday morning in a wreck on 270th Street about two miles east of Sabetha when he lost control of his pickup truck and struck a tree head-on. The pickup flipped onto its top and caught fire, trapping Bergen.
Funeral mass for Bergen will be Friday morning at 10:00 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sutton, Nebraska. Burial will follow at the Saronville United Methodist Cemetery near Saronville, Nebraska.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 at the Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, with the family present from 2 to 4.
A rosary will be held Thursday evening at 7:00 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Bergen was preparing to start his second year as an industrial arts teacher at Sabetha High School.
