07/20/2016

(KNZA)--Advance voting for the August 2nd primary election is underway in Brown County.

Registered voters can vote in person at the Brown County Clerk’s office during regular business hours up until noon on Monday, August 1st.

Voters can also request to have an advance election ballot sent to them.  To vote by mail, you must complete an application form and return it to the County Clerk’s Office before a ballot can be mailed to you.  All application forms must be received by July 29th.

The Brown County Clerk’s office conducted early voting at four locations last week.   Last Thursday, the clerk’s office reports twenty-one voters cast an advance ballot at the Northfield Community Room in Everest and ten at the Kickapoo Senior Citizens Center in Horton. Last Friday, thirty-eight voters cast an advance ballot at the Maple Grove Complex in Hiawatha and fifty-seven at the Morrill Community Building.
