(KMZA)--There’s a new principal at St. Gregory’s Catholic School in Marysville.
Karen Farrell, of Axtell, is the new principal at the pre-kindergarten through 6th grade school.
Farrell previously served as a 4th grade teacher at the school for five years.
She replaces Barb Hawkins who was principal for 12 years.
Farrell is a 2004 graduate of St. Mary’s High School and a 2009 graduate of Emporia State University. She has a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, and is working on a master’s in educational administration at Emporia State.
Farrell and her husband, Adam, have three daughters. He is the co-owner of Farrell Brothers Repair in Axtell.
