(KNZA)--The preliminary hearing for a Dawson, Nebraska man charged in connection with a shooting at the Old Sabetha Lake over the Memorial Day weekend has been pushed back again.
The Nemaha County Attorney’s Office says the hearing for 58-year-old Anthony Leftwich was continued Wednesday to August 16th.
Leftwich is charged with one count of aggravated battery.
He’s accused of shooting 40-year-old rural Bern resident Thad Lambrecht multiple times early May 29th following an argument at the lake. A handgun was recovered at the scene.
Lambrecht was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and then transported to a Kansas City hospital.
Leftwich remains in the Nemaha County Jail, held on a $750,000 bond.
