(KNZA)--An Atchison man charged in connection with a Doniphan County burglary and theft has entered into a plea agreement.
The Kansas Chief reports Travis Sechler recently pleaded “ no contest” to a charge of burglary in Doniphan County District Court. In exchange for the plea, a charge of theft was dismissed.
Sentencing was scheduled for August 29th.
Sechler was charged in connection with the burglary of a garage at a residence in Highland in April. Taken from the garage was a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible.
A Doniphan County Sheriff’s dispatcher observed the stolen vehicle as it was being towed south toward Atchison.
Sechler remains free on bond.
