(KMZA)--The Seneca City Council has approved a list rules for use of the city’s shooting range.
The Council approved the list of rules as presented by Police Chief Jordan Weaver Wednesday evening.
Weaver said the police department and community members have cleaned up the range and developed the rules to keep it in good shape.
There will be a $5 fee for adults 18 years and older to use the shooting range located at the city airport. Those 17 and under will be allowed to use the facility at no cost but must be accompanied by an adult.
Each adult accessing the property will be required to sign a liability wavier form and minors on the property must have a form on file signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Only paper or cardboard targets will be allowed unless approved by the Chief of Police, and eye and ear protection are required.
The entrance gate is to remain locked at all times. Those wanting to use the shooting range will have to pick up a key from the sheriff’s dispatch office.
Range hours will be from sunrise to sunset daily.
