Nemaha Co Commission Receives Additional Budget Requests
(KMZA)--The Nemaha County Commission received several additional 2017 budget requests when they met this week.
Sheriff Rich Vernon is requesting $1.35 million for 2017, which is a $100,000 increase over the amount funded by the county for this year.
County Appraiser Betty Roeder is requesting $188,100, which is a $5,000 increase over the amount allocated for this year.
Alice Lackey with the Nemaha County Training Center presented a budget request for $95,000. That’s a $5,000 increase over the amount funded by the county for this year.
And representatives of Northeast Kansas Enterprise Facilitation requested $3,000 for 2017. That’s the same amount the organization received for this year.
The Commission will consider the requests when drafting the 2017 county budget.
