The Kansas Department of Transportation invites you to attend Aviation Day at the Statehouse in Topeka from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3.
“The goal for Aviation Day is to showcase the positive impact aviation and aerospace industries have in Kansas,” Transportation Secretary Mike King said. “Aerospace manufacturing is the largest industry in the state, accounting for 32,000 jobs and $11.5 billion in economic impact. Aviation matters in Kansas.”
Legislators and other attendees are invited to learn more about aviation as well as network with more than two dozen exhibitors from the industry.
The event will be in the rotunda of the Capitol, with display tables located on the first floor. Registration is not required but appreciated; more information on registration and the event can be found at www.KansasAviationDay.com.
Industry leaders scheduled to attend include Garmin, Dodge City Community College, Wichita Area Technical College, National Institute for Aviation Research, National Business Aviation Association, McFarlane Aviation, Textron Aviation, Bombardier Learjet, Spirit Aero Systems, Airbus, Westar, LifeTeam, Kansas Association of Airports, Kansas Agricultural Aviation Association, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Global Parts Group, Burns & McDonnell, Civil Air Patrol, Aviation Dynamix, Kansas State Polytechnic Aviation and Unmanned Aircraft Systems, Kansas Air National Guard and the Kansas Commission on Aerospace Education.
