(KAIR)--A vehicle crashes into a vehicle parked on the shoulder of a Jackson County roadway, sending one to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened around 11:15 Sunday morning on U.S. Highway 75, just south of 118th Road.
A car, southbound on the highway, driven by 57-year-old Mayetta resident Arthur Meyer, entered the west shoulder, where it collided with the car that was parked in that location.
Meyer, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered what the Patrol calls disabling injuries, and was transported for treatment at Stormont-Vail in Topeka.
No one was in the parked vehicle at the time of the collision.
