(KNZA)--A ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening was held Monday evening for the newly renovated Arrow Twin Theatre in downtown Hiawatha.
On hand to mark the occasion were members of the Hiawatha ACES, the organization who took on the challenge of seeing the theater remodeled and reopened, along with members of the Hiawatha Chamber of Commerce and theater employees.
The theatre reopened last Thursday with the showing of the latest installment in the Star Wars film franchise, “ The Force Awakens.” Also being shown at the theatre is “ Alvin and the Chipmunks.” A good turnout was reported over the weekend, with one night completely sold out.
Customers were greeted with a new sound system, new screens, new seats, handicapped accessibility, digital projection and new management.
