(KAIR)--An Atchison man, who just last week pleaded no contest for possession of cocaine, is facing more legal trouble.
According to a release from the Atchison Police Department, Charles “Cody” VanPetten was arrested Friday on a Community Corrections detain order for violating the conditions of his bond.
37-year-old VanPetten was arrested in November and later bonded out on $7,500.
He entered the plea on Tuesday, waiving his preliminary hearing in the drug possession case. Sentencing at that time was set for January 29th.
His original arrest stemmed from an Atchison traffic stop.
It's not immediately clear what violation was committed that led to his latest arrest.
