(MSC News)--Flags are flying at half-staff across Kansas in remembrance of those who died in Wednesday's shooting in San Bernadino California.
The order from Kansas Governor Sam Brownback follows a proclamation from the White House for flags across the nation to remain lowered, from sun-up to sun-down, through December 7th.
They will return to full staff on Tuesday.
Along with honoring those killed, and injured, in Wednesday's shooting, the lowering of the flags extends through Pearl Harbor Day. December 7th annually commemorates the more than 2,000 members of the military who were killed on that date in 1941 when the Japanese Army attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
