Two Thefts Reported In Atchison

(KAIR)--The Atchison Police Department is investigating two separate theft cases that have resulted in the loss of items worth over $2,300.

Police Chief Mike Wilson says the thefts took place sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning with one taking place “in the 900 block of Commercial, Where Baker's Ninth Street reported the theft of a twelve foot trailer with a value of about $850. We are also investigating a theft of power tools that was taken from a construction site in the 1000 block of North Seventh that included a LED light, some batteries to power tools...a hammer drill, all those power tools with a value of about $1,500”.

There are no suspects in either case, but the search for leads is ongoing.
