Atchison Library Prepares For Renovation

 (KAIR)--The Atchison Library has announced that part of their building will be closed next week in preparation for a renovation project.

Library Director Gary Landeck says the lower portion will be closed, starting Monday as crews prepare the space for construction. There will be no story time or access to the children's library on that day. However, the upstairs portion of the building will be open at that time.

Library staff are also preparing for a groundbreaking ceremony for the project, scheduled to be held Tuesday morning at 9:00.

The planned renovations will take place in south end of the library's lower level, and will include a new children's library, new paint, new carpet, and new lighting. The project is expected to take nearly four months to complete.
