LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nebraska's corn and soybean crops are both expected to set records this fall.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says Nebraska corn crop is likely to total 1.68 billion bushels. That would be 4 percent biggest than last year's corn crop.

The average corn yield is predicted to be 187 bushels per acre, up from last year's 179 bushels per acre.

The latest predictions are based on conditions across the state on November 1.

Soybean production is expected to grow 1 percent over last year and set a record at 291 million bushels.

Farmers are expecting 56 bushels of soybeans per acre this year, up from 54 bushels per acre last year.
