Leavenworth Police Department To Hold Public Forum

 (KAIR)--The Leavenworth Police Department is hosting a public forum next week, designed to give the public a chance to learn more about the department.

The event, titled “Trust Talk, will be hosted by the Rev. B.J. Landrum Sr., and aims to bring together members of diverse communities and it's police officers so that the relationship between the community and police can improve. Other goals include furthering an authentic community-policing culture and promoting dignity, understanding, trust and respect in police and community interactions.

The forum will include a brief overview of procedures and policies of the Leavenworth Police Department, as well as a question and answer session.

The Trust Talk public forum is scheduled to take place Monday evening at 6:00, and will be held at the Riverfront Community Center, located at 123 South Esplanade Street in Leavenworth.
