(KMZA)--An area state legislator has filed for re-election.
Kansas Senator Elaine Bowers is seeking re-election to another four-year term representing the 36th District, which includes the eastern third of Marshall County.
The Concordia Republican has served in the Kansas Senate since 2012.
Bowers says serving the citizens of the 36th District for the last three years has been honor and she’s excited to continue the work. Bowers says while the state currently faces tremendous hardships, she sees great potential in Kansas.
