Short Meeting for Richardson County Commissioners
10/28/2015

(KLZA)-- It was a short day for the Richardson County Commissioners Tuesday.  The weekly meeting took just 95 minutes to complete.

Highway Superintendent Scott Huppert updated Commissioners on routine maintenance on county roads and bridges.  Huppert noted that brush complaints sent earlier this month are still considered to be a public nuisance and notices will beg sent to those landowners regarding a date and time for a hearing.

Huppert has completed a study on a road closing known as 651 Avenue running south of 704 Road to the north bank of Pony Creek. Huppert said the same person owns the land on both sides of the road so the closing of the road can be done.

County Treasurer Austin Duerfeldt presented distress warrants for the 2014 uncollected personal property taxes which consists of 16 statements totaling $2,445. Commissioners approved the report as submitted and authorized the delivery to the Sheriff for collection.
