(Nebraska City)-- Weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin the week of November 2 on the west interchange of US-75 and Old Highway 2 in Nebraska City, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.
Integrated Electrical Services, Inc. DBA IES Commercial, Inc., of Holdrege, Nebraska, has the $156,567 contract for construction of two cantilever signs. Traffic will be maintained at all times on both US-75 and Old Highway 2.
Shoulder closures will be utilized at both cantilever sign installation locations. The horizontal components of the signs will be constructed during night time hours utilizing single-lane closures and flaggers. The project is anticipated to be completed in the 2015 construction year.
The Department of Roads’ manager for this project is Mike Habegger of Tecumseh. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously through construction zones.
