(KLZA)-- A tractor owned by the Witt Cattle Company, of Falls City, was a total loss Thursday morning, destroyed by fire.
The 2014 Massey tractor with a cab and loader was being operated by Dan Jones on a county road south of Salem about 11:30 when a fire started under the cab.
The fire reduced the tractor to a shell, with the tires burned off by the flames.
The cause of the fire has not been determined.
The Falls City Rural Fire Department responded to the scene.
