Former Falls City Fire Stomper Puts Out Fire
10/12/2015

(KLZA)-- The Falls City Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire call at 14th & Dundy Street at shortly before 7:30 Monday morning.

A 2001 Dodge pickup owed by Patricia Timothy had a fire in the engine compartment that totaled the pickup.

Fire Chief Ken Simpson noted that a 16-year old boy was able to put out the blaze utilizing training he had several years ago in the Falls City Fire Departments Fire Stompers Class.

Simpson did not get the young man’s name but said he lifted the hood slightly and was able to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.
