One Killed in Jefferson County Crash

(KNZA)--A single-vehicle roll-over crash in Jefferson County Tuesday night claimed the life of a Topeka man.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 61-year-old Courtney White was westbound on U.S. 24 Highway about six miles east of Perry when he failed to negotiate a right hand turn.  His van entered the west ditch, struck a power pole, and then rolled into a cornfield.

White, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The wreck was report shortly after 9:15.
