New Jackson Co EMS Contract Approved

(KNZA)--The Jackson County Commission has approved a new one-year contract with the county’s ambulance service provider.

The new contract, which will begin January 1st, 2016, was approved during a special meeting last week.

Under the contact, the Holton Recorder reports Jackson County EMS will receive a total of $252,000 in county funding next year, which represents a $65,000 increase over the previous contract. 

The county’s current three-year contract with the company expires at the end of the year.
