(KLZA)--A Falls City man has been arrested on charges stemming from a hit-and-run accident earlier this month.
29-year-old Gary Dumont was arrested Tuesday by the Falls City Police Department following an investigation.
During the early morning hours of August 16th, the Police Department received a report of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run at 16th and Fulton Street. The investigation led the police to a Ford Bronco owned by Dumont that allegedly had damage consistent with the hit-and-run.
Following further investigation and an interview with Assistant Police Chief Jamie Baker, Dumont was arrested on charges of false reporting, willful reckless driving, driving under suspension, failure to report an accident, invalid registration, unlawful plates and no proof of insurance.
All of the charges are misdemeanors.
