(KNZA)--A St. Joseph man accused of killing another St. Joseph man earlier this month was arraigned in a Buchanan County courtroom Friday.
Charles Coats, Jr. is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of Jason Ginn.
According to court documents, Coats shot Ginn following an argument in front of Ginn's home on South 15th Street on August 1. An autopsy showed Ginn suffered four gunshot wounds and died from a gunshot wound to his head.
Investigators said Coats fled the area after the shooting. He later turned himself in to police in Columbia.
KQ2-TV reports Coats will back in court on August 27. He remains in custody.
