Another continuance has been granted in the case of a Muscotah woman accused of abusing her three month old son.
22-year-old Heidi Pace appeared in Atchison County District Court last week, where her preliminary hearing was continued to August 19th. The date was tentatively set as it was unknown if a person scheduled to testify in the case would be available at that time.
Pace was arrested in April, after a social worker at Children's Mercy Hospital reported to law enforcement officials that a child was being treated for injuries believed to have been caused by abuse.
Pace remains in the Atchison County Jail, held on a $50,000 bond.
