LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The former finance director of the Nebraska Democratic Party has been named the party's new executive director.
Hadley Richters had already been serving as the party's interim director since the departure of Dan Marvin in November.
State Democratic Party Chairman Vince Powers says Richters has played a "critical role in countless campaigns, demonstrated extensive fundraising prowess and will provide great expertise for the Party as we prepare for the 2016 elections and beyond."
As the party's finance director, Richters was responsible for several record-breaking events, both in dollars raised and attendance.
Before joining the Nebraska Democratic Party staff, Richters was co-owner of Lincoln-based political consulting and fundraising firm, Richters Brinkman LLC.
