07/28/2015

(KAIR)--A bridge spanning the Negro creek along 278th Road in the Atchison County township of Grasshopper, is set to re-open early next week after receiving some needed repairs.

County Road and Bridge Superintendent Seth Howard says the sixty foot fracture critical bridge needed updating, with improvements taking just over a month to complete.

The project cost just under $158,000, with funds provided through a Kansas local bridge improvement program grant.
