(KLZA)-- The Johnson-Brock School Board this week approved a contract with Erin Mackey to serve as Pre-School teacher beginning August 17th. A three percent pay increase and benefit package for non-certified staff was approved.
Faculty and Student handbooks with updated faculty sponsors for the 2015-16 school year were approved. Board members also approved increasing the price for breakfast and lunches five cents per meal for the new school year.
The Johnson-Brock Board voted unanimously to renew membership in the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association at a cost of $700.
Superintendent Jeff Koehler reported on a bid to install a new air and electric furnace system in the 1936 building, band and weight room. He will be exploring the possibility of requesting another bid. It was also noted that construction materials for a new press box would be approximately $2,800. JBAC and the Booster Club have offered donations that would cover those expenses.
