(KNZA)--Roadway work is underway in Horton, where a geometric improvement project moves forward.
Work will include the replacement of the east half of the U.S. Highway 73 and K-20 intersection, improvements to the radius of the northeast corner of the intersection, installation of ADA compliant ramps, and some minor pavement patching.
Work is underway during weekday daylight hours, with some occasional Saturday work also possible.
Traffic is being directed through the work zone by signage and cones.
Only minor delays are expected, with full closure of the intersection not included in the plans.
All work is to be completed by September if weather allows.
Julius Kaaz Construction, of Leavenworth, is the primary contractor on the $184,000 project.
