(KLZA)-- A three-vehicle wreck about two miles south of Tariko, Missouri early Monday afternoon claimed the life of a 52-year-old Tarkio man.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Duane Sabins was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck on U.S. 59 Highway.
According to the Patrol report, Sabins was southbound on U-S 59 Highway when he lost control of his 2006 Suzuki, in a rain storm. The vehicle skidded across the centerline and struck a northbound pickup driven by 18-year old Garrett Ball of Fairfax in the drivers side. The Sabin's vehicle continued to skid and was struck in its passenger side by a sport utility vehicle driven by 60-year-old Fairfax resident Ronald Nester.
Nester was transported to the Fairfax hospital with what were described as serious injuries. Ball was not hurt.
