(KNZA)-- A jury trial has been set for a rural Netawaka man facing multiple sex-related charges involving a child.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says an October 27th-29th trial was set for 35-year-old Scott Buchheit during a hearing Friday.
Buchheit pleaded “ not guilty” in April to eleven felony counts---including five counts of rape, two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, indecent solicitation of a child and theft.
According to the criminal complaint, the alleged sex offenses occurred between March 2008 and January of this year involving a girl who is now 17.
Buchheit is also charged in the theft of a Polaris Ranger side-by-side UTV in February.
He remains in the Jackson County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
