(KNZA)--New details emerge following a search for two men Tuesday in eastern Jackson County.
Sheriff Tim Morse says his office received a report shortly after 8:00 regarding two men, in their mid 20's, who were likely armed and traveling in a silver four door passenger car with dents in a rear door.
The two were named as suspects in a Tuesday morning Jefferson County attempted aggravated burglary. Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig says it happened shortly after 8:00 outside rural Valley Falls at a single residence. “They attempted to kick [in] the door, but the owner was at home. They actually did not get in, I think the owner kind of scared them off.”
A two hour search in Jackson County, including deputy patrols on back roads and residential checks, did not lead to the wanted pair, with both suspects remaining at large.
