(KLZA)--Falls City High School Wall of Fame honoree, Merle Bachman will be speaking Saturday, June 27 at the Falls City Library and Arts Center at 11 a-m. The public is invited to attend.
Bachman is a 1965 Falls City High School graduate and had more than 40 years experience in the architecture / engineer industry following his graduation from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Bachman started at a project manager with HDR Architecture in Omaha and was one of 40 employees to buy the firm to become employee owned. He became president in 2003 and the firm became a large influential international design firm.
Bachman and his wife Trulam ( Buckminster) Bachman, also a 1965 Falls City High School graduate are currently building a new home on a farm north of Rulo.
Merle Bachman donated his services to the John Phillip Falter Museum, which opened at 1622 Stone Street earlier this spring.
The Falls City High School Wall of Fame was created to celebrate the excellence of Falls City Public Schools, to inspire current students to aspire to success in their chosen fields. It honors those who have achieved distinction in academia, athletics, public service, military service, education, business, visual or performing arts, science or medicine.
The 2015 Wall of Fame announcement will be made at the Falls City High School Alumni Banquet on Sunday, June 28th at Prichard Auditorium.
