Firefighters Save Rural Brock Home
06/12/2015

(KLZA)-- Firefighters were able to save a home attached to a shed that caught on fire early Friday morning about a mile-and-a-half south of Brock.

Brock-Julian Fire Chief Delbert Jeannerett said the call came in about 6:50 a-m Friday morning and the fire was under control about 50 minutes later.  The Johnson and Auburn Fire Departments also responded to the scene.

Eric Holle and his wife Holly and three children live in the home and no one was injured.  The house and garage are attached to a machine shed, which is where the fire started.  The cause of the blaze is not known.  The shed is likely a total loss but firefighters were able to save the home, which likely has some smoke damage and a minimal amount of water damage.

Fire Department members remained on the scene  for several hours to make sure there were no flare ups to re-start the blaze.
